  1. I have wondered this as well. Given the lack of ground work on the site, I assume this is just a staging area for the apartment complex around Birdsong.
  2. I agree. Not to mention the density this would encourage. I imagine there would be a ton of condo's surrounding the park.
  3. Because the capacity of the other stadiums are lower. The two biggest teams from an attendance standpoint are Atlanta United, which currently hold all ten of the top attendance records at a capacity of 73,019 and the Seattle Sounders at 68k. BOA has a capacity of >74k so if they convince enough people that this is a chance to be a part of history and not just a soccer game on a cold night in March, they can break the record. The tickets are priced reasonably enough so we shall see.
  4. Maybe we're hosting a world cup qualifier? There are two in October with cities yet to be named.
  5. It was a rather small, inexpensive update. That said, I like that they kept the stone wall. It is a perfect smaller stadium for the Independence, HS, and potentially CLT FC USOC games.
  6. I think you just need to add "Parody" to a new account.
  7. I live in this neighborhood. The train runs much more regularly than I assumed, although I can't give you specific intervals because I don't live close enough to hear it. Somewhere between 5 & 12 per 24 hours? I think both will be nice locations that become more walkable. Seigle will definitely be less trafficked as it is not easily connected to uptown. Not sure that helps but my $.02.
  8. Do both. Give Tepper much less than he's asking for but enough to get the team here and have crowds in uptown 20 more nights a year.
  9. How long after a closed door session should we expect an announcement (days, weeks, months)?
  10. It looks like Tepper presented today.
  11. I don't think this is true anymore. The bottom of the league (attendance) primarily have one thing in common. They play in the suburbs. The future of the league is likely dual-purpose stadiums that are larger but built with both football and soccer in mind and are located in the city center. I think @ricky_davis_fan_21 is right but it will take slightly longer than that.
  12. The lot is quickly shrinking with the massive garage and office towers. I doubt there is enough room left for a mall or any game-changing retail.
