  1. Thanks. While I haven't been posting I've definitely been lurking around here. There are a couple of other cameras at the stadium site but they don't appear to be live streaming yet. They do show time lapses though which are kind of cool. https://www.denark.com/project/knoxville-multi-use-stadium/. Scroll down a little.
  2. There is a live camera of this construction site from WVLT. Go here and scroll down to the last camera feed. https://www.wvlt.tv/page/cameras/
  3. Here you go! http://p1cdn4static.civiclive.com/UserFiles/Servers/Server_109478/File/Boards/zoningappeals/packets/2020/9E20VA.pdf
  4. This is what's going on that spot on Cumberland. https://aspenknoxville.com Based on the CVS rendering on the website, it's at least 5 stories.
  5. Not much info out there about whatever that is going to be. Only thing I could find is: "A Resolution to amend Resolution No. R-250-2017 which authorized the Industrial Development Board of the City of Knoxville to negotiate and accept from Orange Knoxville Cumberland, LLC (subsequently assigned to Breckenridge Group Knoxville, Tennessee, LLC), payments in lieu of ad valorem taxes with respect to property located at 2223 Cumberland Avenue, so as to clarify language outlined in the PILOT lease defining the project and uses of the property. (Requested by Law Department and Office of Redevelopment)" The only other info is that Breckenridge Group paid $15 million for the property in December.
  6. Seems like it would be a perfect spot for an Ikea with so many students living on and around campus along with the population growth downtown.
  7. The latest on the Kerns Bakery site redevelopment. Who knows if this will happen or not. https://www.knoxtntoday.com/developers-reveal-latest-plans-for-kerns-redevelopment/ Also, there is an article on knoxnews from 3/22 that another section of Riverwalk will be built from Suttree Landing Park to River's Edge Apartments. It's behind a paywall so I won't link it. Knoxville will have something really nice when/if the riverwalk runs the entire length of that section of the south Knoxville riverfront,
  8. Wow! It's amazing how much nicer the campus looks now then from the dump it was when I went there in the early 90's. Thanks for posting these pics, (and all of your others) nativetenn
  9. Very weird is a good description. As in the article from the link above, here is the website for this project: https://ancientlorevillage.com They were giving away free copies of the book for a limited time that this resort is based on. I read it just to get a better idea of what this place might actually be like. After reading it, I am convinced that somewhere on the property is a large patch of "shrooms" that gave Mr, Boyd his inspiration for the book and the resort. Anyway, at least it's something different. People around that area of Chapman Highway aren't exactly happy about the project because of the added traffic. My gut feeling tells me they won't have to worry about that. Hopefully I am wrong and it ends up being a big success for Knoxville.
  10. This project is listed on the "in progress" section of the architects website. I don't have any inside sources or anything like that but I have the feeling this one is actually going to happen. http://www.gamble-gamble-architects.com/in-progress/#/the-t-at-riverfront/
