Tim, I may be missing something, but everything I'm hearing is that the Winston Salem arm of BB&T will remain there. However, some high-ranking management types will be moving to the new HQ in Charlotte. It remains to be seen what will happen to jobs at the former American Express complex near PTI airport. Congrats to our neighbors to the south. This is a big win for Charlotte as it continues to become an iconic banking center.

N & R reports that a developer plans to build 90 residential units at the corner of Gate City Blvd. and Elm St. in downtown Greensboro. About this time yesterday morning, I read the headline in TBJ: "VF Moving Headquarters to Denver". I wilted like a flower in 90 degree heat! However, after reading the article, I feel a little better. VF has been a very good corporate citizen in Greensboro and with Jeans division staying here, I would expect this to continue.
