Serious Question: Why would Levine leave his unfinished parking garage just sitting there? If there are quality/safety issues as some speculated, won't he need to eventually tear the thing down if it can't be fixed? And if it can be fixed, why wouldn't they just do that and move forward?

Does anyone have any insight? Hoping for (mostly) serious answers, lol.

I think this is to show that he can undevelop as quickly as develop.

The stock has been halted in early trading pending news this morning.  It sounds like an old fashion run on a tech oriented bank.  Lots of losses in upstart tech companies of late and lack of VC sorta seems like the game is up.  If you there is not a path to profits you will go under.   Stay tuned.

looks like GS will not provide anymore capital and SVB is up for sale according to CNBC

“The Campbell is deliberately differentiated from the majority of the existing inventory and pipeline in South End to appeal to a more mature renter,” said Mason Ellerbe, principal with Abacus.""

I guess I'm mature since I like the look of this.

Yes I think with the 2 recent hotels underway uptown it may be a while.  I think Southend is primed for hotels with all the office space and corporate travel coming back soon not to mention leisure travel which is very strong.   Remember we just had a JW Marriott open recently and it has almost 400 rooms.

Is the Moxy back on? If the CTC development happens it should be a no brainer.

Is there a way to combine all the Panthers facilities / offices  w/ a new stadium at the Pipe + Foundry site? Seems like that could make lots of sense, but maybe I'm missing something?

I would guess it would be a very expensive place to have training fields.

This part of the greenway stinks literally. You get a few whiffs of the 10 million gallon sewage treatment plant.

This was my old stomping ground and most days there is no smell. But drove past today and  could smell it even though my cars windows were shut. One of my favorite greenways  and i love that they kept the old cars and integrated the access to the biking Backyard Trials.

Just got a text message: friends in Charlotte for the weekend.  Staying in uptown.  Thought about south end Camden outdoors but forecast is rainy and raw.  Anything fun or worth seeing in uptown proper-they’re health nuts and not drinkers?

If you want to venture to the Whitewater center, they are doing their green water this weekend. But yep, will be cold!

So 42 story office tower... That's what 625-650ft high? Assume the 30 and 40 story residential components are roughly 350 and 450ft-ish ? Was hoping for a tenant announcement to be included. Perhaps that's coming soon too :) This project looks awesome and easily the most transformational for Charlotte in a while.

That is what i was wondering. Has the Queen City got a new 3rd or 4th tallest?
