  1. My son went to preschool right by there. I should have kept a better watch.
  2. Not to perpetuate the off topic posts, but I love the famous "big chicken."
  3. Honestly, that doesn't surprise me. Bukhead's mansions are out of control, and they're a few miles from amazing stores, etc. The city of Atlanta is pretty lame though for a metro of over 5m and one that has a lot of F500 companies. Seattle, for example, blows it out of the water.
  4. I like Atlanta's burbs way better than Charlotte's. The houses are much nicer. The geography is better since it's much hillier. The weather is better since it's usually five to ten degrees warmer on any given winter day. Atl also is more international, has WAY better international air service, and MUCH better shopping for whatever that's worth. That being said, Charlotte is a much better city in my opinion. I like Atlanta, but for a metro of its size, Atlanta pales in comparison to other new cities like Seattle, Dallas, and Houston. Charlotte's downtown seems to have learned from Atlanta's mistakes and is becoming denser and more urban.
  5. Do you really think it will top out by December? That would be great. When might the facade start rising?
  6. I've been to Cleveland. I think that it, like many Rust Belt cities, is underrated. Cleveland, Milwaukee, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, etc have beautiful old buildings.
  7. Cleveland has some stunning old buildings, and its location on the lake is amazing.
  8. Great analysis. P.S.: Run ons can be good. Consider James Joyce's final chapter in Ulysses.
  9. That's great news! Maybe the tenant's commitment isn't enough to secure financing. For example, if someone committed to 150k sf, many lenders might be wary to finance a tower with 600k sf still available. Isn't there a good amount of available new space available in Charlotte?
  10. These are beautiful photos. Thanks for posting.
