The deal is that TOC is a privately run event and they contract the beverages out to Adams, whose biggest clients are AB Inbev and SABMiller. The mega breweries pay to have their beer sold at this event. Any time there is a festival uptown missing local beer, this is why. As far as the food goes, the story I hear is that the cost and effort are worth it for most restaurants. there isn't a high conversion rate, and it's logistically challenging.

looking at those restaurant pads, I'm guessing a McDonalds and either a Chick-fil-a or a Cook Out. With car sales headed the way they are, car sharing and self driving vehicles on the hear horizon, who are the people who are doing used car lots all over Charlotte? is there really the demand? How do the economics work?

Where does everyone who lives on this part of the river go in their boats? Looking at google maps, anyone with property that has access to the river, there is a dock. It looks like you can go all the way down to Tega Cay and Lake Wylie, but is that true? Going north, you're blocked by the damn that forms Mt Island lake. If we want the river district to blossom, we need to be able to use the river. What if anything is being done regarding this?

The article from 2012 announcing the deal where the City acquired the Eastland property is 404. How much did the city pay for Eastland? How much have we dumped into the demolition? Just trying to understand how much the city has invested into this 90 acres.
