  1. Do we know if the grocery store is still a part of the development? Everything else is built and a lot of the staging/construction equipment is gone, but the area where the grocer is supposed to be is just empty.
  2. Like the buildings+promenade, hate that both parking garages are staying. Those eat up so much good real estate and stick out like a sore thumb. This city continues to be incredibly unambitious
  3. I like going to philly too. Friday/Monday ain't the best split for me, but I could always fly there on friday and take amtrak back on sunday.
  4. I mean just cause the Headwaters casino is failing, doesn't mean that Cordish is the 'good guy' here. Waterside, while it looks nice, has absolutely nothing going on/draws and I don't think that Cordish would have really put their all into making a casino next door work. I dunno, feels like we're really idolizing a company here that isn't all that spectacular?
  5. Heck, even just an hourly interurban to Richmond would help a ton
  6. That's pretty insane considering the only route that goes through here is the 3x daily NEC train.
  7. Is that meaningfully different than what has been the case so far? I know a lot of the fleet from here has been the Embraer but I took one of the A220's from Norfolk to Los Angeles last summer EDIT: Of course the idea of even more new routes is AWESOME
  8. Does that mean that ORF will be hosting a number of A220s, and if so what does that entail? Would ORF be the normal start/end points of a travel day, or is it more just where aircraft storage and maintenance would be consolidated?
  9. Would love if that were the case, but realistically how soon could something like that open? I don't think I've seen a project as big as that get completed in less than like a year and a half (except for the new ODU stadium, and they paid a premium to ensure it got complete in an offseason)
  10. Great news! And that's an incredibly fast rate to get construction going for the project. A lot of positive momentum for the airport nowadays
  11. Some more renderings of the airport. Looks like they've slid the ticketing away from the hotel and towards the new car rental parking garage. Maybe for ease of construction, or maybe to allow for future expansion of the ticketing area? They also show the space they're reserving for a future Concourse C. https://www.facebook.com/WTKR3/posts/pfbid07PrFRLx9uRkxJ8w4tXQeGvVMAPgC8SryraaQ9ognDyFDmiCrk46H4BbVDj5pMoXNl?comment_id=1099903217692672&notif_id=1706983922727738&notif_t=feedback_reaction_generic&ref=notif
  12. Sounds like we got an armchair scientist in the house.
  13. Sounds like someone from Virginia Beach
  14. Flights to Canada would be really fun, would love a direct to Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, hell even Halifax. Hopefully Jet Blue flights to there would also open up flights to other locales with them. Feels like the fact they're putting money into building a new International Processing Building is a good sign for the likelihood of at least some international flights heading in soon This airport is going to be unrecognizable in 5 years
  15. They did not beat us last year. Passengers Served 2022: RIC: 4,068,689 ORF: 4,115,537
