It's interesting that this has gotten so much press.  All indications are that the human driven car didn't stop and plowed into the autonomous driving car. Of all the autonomous miles driven, I know of one case that was deemed to be the fault of the autonomous drive tech (the tesla using first generation autonomy and not distinguishing the white semi from the sky).

Hopefully, if I rear end someone, they'll be a robot.

Additionally, while somewhat underwhelming, the 222 building stretches the skyline "East" in that first photo by @bigeasy.  It also looks pretty good in the second photo with SoBro, BS, Pinnacle, and poor little Encore.  Looks like the JW will fill in between Westin and Snodgrass.  Pretty impressive past few years Nashville.

FWIW, the Rolling Mill Hill project will stretch it even further east.

Gonna have to start calling this place Nashcouver

My one and only experience with them, I walked in there on a Saturday afternoon to get a bloody mary with a buddy. We sat there for at least 15 minutes and not one bar tender bothered to serve us. And it wasn't just us. When we left, not one person sitting over there was attended to.

I bet the landlord wanted more money to renew their lease.

Dean was a great, forward looking mayor and will definitely have my vote for Governor... With some cooperation from the GOP legislature (laughably unlikely that would happen, I know...) he could do the same for the state as he did for Nashville.

On the Nashville building boom: "I think we've seen the peak," says Metro Codes Director Terry Cobb. "There, I said it."

Tweet from Tony Gonzales from NPR Nashville

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

With a gun pointed in his face, Tony looked Terry in the eye... "All this talk about Nashville being the 'it city'... it's all lies... isn't it? A slow down's coming.. isn't it, Terry?"  "Never!" Terry retorted. *Tony wrestles Terry to the ground* "You tell me the truth about the building boom, or you're done!" yelled Tony. Battered and beaten, Terry looked up at Tony and mumbled "I.... I think we've seen the peak. There, I said it!"  And it was at that moment, we all knew Nashville's fate.

This was proposed by the previous owner of the Mall at Green Hills and was to be located where the new parking garage is on Cleghorn.

Random aside, I wish they would rename that entire amalgamation of roads.  I understand Crestmoor, Cleghorn, and HB Pike Cir had their own separate identity at one point, but with all the development going on on the back side of GH, would create less confusion.

I really do not think this was an older rendering as the owners did not have all of the property assembled till recently. I do think it is telling that the project is no longer on the website.

We will just have to wait and see who makes the next move.

Who'd you think brought this to their attention? Us?

This hasn't been broken by any other news outlets, yet.

Oh BTW, you need to take a drive on the extra terrestrial highway in Nevada. Nothing to see, but still loads better than hundreds of miles of treeless, fairly flat farmland.

Been on a lot of the roads out west and that drive from Denver to KC is grueling. At least there are tons of wind turbines to look at. I know this is off topic but I can't resist to complain about the drive from Montgomery to Mobile. Pine Trees and more pine trees. And more pine trees.

That's the drive from anywhere to anywhere in South Alabama.
