  1. Where are you seeing the BA flights being cut from PHL. Still shows 2 daily, 772 and a 788.
  2. Unless I've missed something. CLT doesn't see the FedEx MD11F, as much as I'd love to say we do get that... We just don't. We get the MD10F, which is still a beauty to see. Usually operated MEM-CLT-IND...vice versa sometimes, then FedEx also sends the A300. Then you have UPS... A300, although for the holiday rush we get a 752 and sometimes an A300 from PHL.
  3. Well I think ICT (Wichita) should defiantly be on the radar.
  4. Any little bit helps! I suspect if this does happen, it'll operete with 2 daily CRJ 700s. Still rather have Brazil... Hahaha
  5. A wide body between CLT-LAX makes total sense. Back in the day Usair flew some 762s out there. If indeed CLT-EDDF gets re-timed, man that's a huge European bank of flights from 6:25-7:00. That would make my day if BA started service to CLT. US has a 6:55 and a 10:20ish departure to LHR. So if BA would find there way I could see a BA flight departing CLT a little after 4 or 8pm to have an efficient spaced out time of flights out to LHR. We don't even need to bring this JetBlue discussion up. I'll believe it when I see it. If this is what Indeed happens, I hope they get put in A9. Lastly, I think the airport realizes that the new AA isn't dumping there international portfolio. Any info on if CLT-GRU will return? I'd like to see CLT-MAD go year round...
  6. Thank you for the updates! Greatly appreciate it I was thinking about it. We are so fortuante to have this much capacity to Europe! Just amazing to think the smallest plane going over the pond is an A332. Just amazing. Looking forward to spotting all this!
  7. Regarding PDX, the A320 is probably just used as a placeholder. The final summer schedule isn't out until sometime later this Winter.
  8. Nope, still available. A320 this next year though. Last summer it was an A321.
  9. Well, I already knew that. I'm not referring to AA. I know there leaving A9/11. Doesnt make sense to stay anyway. I'm not trying to argrue with you. I'm just trying to convey my point of saying that DL might want A9/11 for there op. Basically in a nutshell, I'm hypothetically saying that there might be other current airlines that want another gate or a new carrier might be on the door step.
  10. Explain to me where JetBlue would move to on A? I'm having a problem coming up with a specific gate they will use. From the rumor mill of mine, A9/A11 are wanted from Delta. Southwest operates flights all around JetBlue flight times, so A8 is out of the question. A6 is used pretty heavily by DL for there LGA/JFK flihjts and an early morning dep to ATL or DTW. Then you have the UA gates and I know they'll need all there gates for there RJ op. Then add F9 into the mix. Operating at gate A6 during a JetBlue time. I just don't see where B6 will go. Better on at D anyway. In terms of performance, CLT is not a bad station.... JFK is the reason we're not doing too shabby with the low yielding BOS route. 4 daily flights. My calcualtuons in terms of LF, B6 is up 3.2% this year. I expect an A320 flight from JFK. Really surprised that hasn't happneed yet. Yields are pretty good on there.
  11. I've heard the same about jetBlue moving to A. That'd be horrendous if that's what indeed happens. Now if they'll give jetblue a 18C departure when there's not a bank going on, I'd be more than okay with it
  12. Like another forum member said. I think Qatar would do extremely well here. I've seen plenty of there banners in the airport and even heard and saw a commercial or two about them. I think the geographic location of CLT is a plus. The O/D to DOH is .75 I belive, I could be wrong. Now taking that into perspective, PHL O/D was 1.5 when that service started.. I think. So CLT is defiantly not out of the realm. Considering we have about 200ish more flights that phl, the CLT-DOH flight could have a chance of capturing more traffic. Let's takes some guesses. A350 or 772? Daily or on a weekly basis? I might be off the spectrum on guessing here. 772 daily peak season and 4 weekly 772 off season.
  13. Frontier announced 14 new routes from IAD including CLT...New nonstop service from CLT-IAD begins August 20th.Flights will be operated with A320. 5 weekly
  14. I'm right with you. I really want jetBlue to resume FLL. Missed it since they ended. Once they changed the times, the route tanked. As long as they connect the flight to the cruises in the FLL area and connect passengers to popular cities in the Caribbean...they'll be fine!
  15. New service to GRR from CLT begins September 3. Flight will be operated with the CRJ 200 CLT-GRR 9:45am CLT-GRR 10:20pm GRR-CLT 6:45am GRR-CLT 11:55am Nice to see this additions.
  16. Not trying to get off topic. Does anyone see Alaska Airlines coming to CLT with there existing partnership with AA?
  17. One of the benefits of CLT... The geographic location. A lot of these long and thin routes can work from CLT just because the 752 can reach it.
  18. Being optimistic, I do think the 787 from Qatar is a possibility. That would be a real sight to see. My thoughts on the service to Europe for 2015 CLT-LHR- 2 daily 1 AA A332 1 BA 772 CLT-FRA -1 daily A333 CLT-MUC- 1 daily LH A346(summer) A333 winter CLT-DUS- 1 daily 763( would love to see Air Berlin though) CLT-CDG- 1 daily 763 CLT-MAD- 1 daily A332 CLT-BCN- Seasonal A332 CLT-FCO- Seasonal A332 CLT-DUB- Seasonal 752 Maybe Manchester will stick around... Not sure though. I hope we get to see British Airways announce service to CLT in the foreseeable future. I'm still hopeful of Qatar one day.
  19. Wonderful! I would fully agree with you in terms of the competition from US Airways. There's one reason that can make this viable despite the US Airways competition. One thing that must be known, FLL was was very small back in 2007. The flight was mostly relying on O/D and a small amount of connections. Anyways, fastforward to 2014. JetBlue serves 26 destinations from FLL as compared to there small amount back in 2007. With 3 or 4 routes beginning this year. jetBlue will be at 30 destinations. They recently announced PIT with intent to get more to PAX to FLL to help feed there Caribbean bulid up. The plan is for JetBlue at FLL is to get the focus city up to around 100ish flights. The reason I'm a little more hopeful this time is because for starters, there is so much more on the FLL side that would be a benefit for CLT. Lastly, The JetBlue station was over a year old when they were flying the FLL route, the city has matured over the years and pulled off a really good occupancy percentage for JAN14.(76%) I know full flights doesn't neccsearry mean anything, the point is the demand is there.
  20. Hello everybody. I've been a long time reader on this thread and wanted to say how much I enjoy reading this on a daily basis. A nice break from the violent airliners net hate of CLT. From my username JetBlueCLT, I'm a very very big JetBlue fan. I hope everyone doesn't mind me adding JetBlue into the discussions every now and then. Anyways, I've been torn through years on why JetBlue dropped CLT-FLL. From memory, the flight departed CLT at 9:45am which was a perfect time to connect to the cruise ships and Caribbean bank of flights. Then all of a sudden they changed it to a 7pm flight and then ended it. So my question/comment is, Does anybody see CLT-FLL returning in the foreseeable future?
