  1. I wonder if JetBlue will add a flight From CLT, for the super bowl That's awesome. I'd add SFO to that list as possible candidates. good stuff though.
  2. I second that. I know the chances of this is slim to none, but would love AA to add CLT-FAR(Fargo) Would make it so much easier to get to and from college.
  3. I saw some idiot on anet ask this, "Was CLT a hub for US? If so, is it still considered a hub?" Idiot
  4. What a surprise ... Lol. Just for fun, the first CLT-SJC flight already has 27 people booked on it. Good start
  5. Good add. Hopefully it does well and can get upgraded to an A320/A321 over time Is CLT-ABQ(Albuquerque) coming back next summer?
  6. If I had to predict what a CLT-FLL schedule would look like for JetBlue. A320 flight FLL-CLT 1900 departure with 2050 arrival CLT-FLL 0730 departure with 0915 arrival Those times allow connections for JetBlue Caribbean/Latin America bank of flights. If Southwest couldn't make CLT-MCO work, not sure FLL would be any better. They crack me up with there "ambitious" plans to go international out of FLL. There a little late to the game on that, JetBlue and Spirit have that covered already.
  7. I don't believe they do. Not 100% sure though. I know AA/AS codeshare but I don't think they do on the AA nonstops to PDX/SEA
  8. I like the thought on spirit. I personally would rather see Frontier expand there footprint more in CLT than having Spirit come in and 'possibly' overlap each other on routes and kick one another out. If they compliment each other I think that would be great! Its so frustrating to me that JetBlue hasn't brought back CLT-FLL yet. I have a few friends who work with them & keep telling me they want to connect all the major markets they serve on the eastern seaboard to FLL. Not only for O/D but for connection in FLL. JetBlue has even been publicly open on that too. It's not about the competition between AA/B6 on CLT-FLL. JetBlues FLL operation on the other end is 5 times bigger than it was in 07... what about Alaska coming to CLT?
  9. CLT-MCO is on an A321 CLT-ORD is an A320 CLT-DEN switched to a 7am dep with the inbound a redeye from DEN. Honestly thought that's what they should've done with DEN-CLT. CLT-PHL is now an A321 too. CLT-TTN comes back 3 weekly
  10. I saw who posted the details from the Q3 investor call, but not a link for it.
  11. My understanding is an upguage would occur during the summer season only. It would likely be for B6219/218. Were still ways away from the summer schedule. But yeah, other than FLL theres nothing else I see from JetBlue... Pipe dream would be a flight from CLT-SJU to eat into AA on that route. Thats wisful thinking on my part. FLL is the best bet and makes the most sense...people just have to use it. I was under the impression FL did okay on CLT-MCO, I remeber for a long time it was 2 daily.. then went to one and finally WN, then to nothing. I hope F9s new CLT-DEN serivce does well.
  12. The only chance of JetBlue adding is CLT-FLL. From talking to a few friends at JetBlue, its on there list but they have an aircraft shortage. The goal with JetBlue in FLL is to connect there stations around the US to build a feed for the LatinAmerica routes/ Carribean flights. Once more A321s come on line that should start to free up there A320s which can free up the 190s. JetBlue in CLT has had an amazing year so far in terms of Load factors..actually higher than company standards. I'm not sure how the yields are but CLT-JFK tickets have gone up significantly over the last few years..and there filling the plane up which is a good sign. I remember 3 years ago I could book a CLT-JFK flight for 140 round trip...lowest I can find is 200. Its exciting, JetBlues 10th anniversary in CLT is next year...hoping they fly there 10th anniversary special livery for one of those flights...Hard to belive it'll be a decade. I remeber flying them in 07 for the first time.
  13. JetBlue will never add CLT-MCO, just not happening any time soon. SWA attempted CLT-MCO, and was gone in about a year. A lot of people are US/AA loyalist which is such asham because I can't stand flying the new American. I've been flying JetBlue out of CLT since 2007 and haven't turned back since, unless there's a destination jetBlue or there partner doesn't serve. I can tel you right now, loads have been great, better than average for the winter season, yields are up a whole lot. With that said, I think a jetBlue CLT-FLL is around the corner. Let's remember, jetBlue use to operate a flight from CLT to FLL, that ended to two main reasons. 1. The the flight was an afternoon flight which missed all the cruise traffic. 2. jetBlues FLL network had about 20ish flights then, the amount of connecting opportunities were small to none. With all of that said being said, jetBlue is now a serious player in FLL. With about 90 flights and counting there FLL operation will hit there goal of around 100ish flights out of FLL. SWA isn't going to have an international operation out of FLL for a few years now. I believe there INTL plans will fail greatly, they were way to late on that game. jetBlue has a very strong brand down in southern Florida and a huge international footprint there as well.... Something I dont think SWA will be able to compete with. Now, when JetBlue adds CLT-FLL, it'll be the following 2 schedules. 2 daily option CLT-FLL 0725 1330 FLL-CLT 1130 1930 1 daily option CLT-FLL 0725 FLL-CLT 1930 Now that's just a well educated guess from me factoring a few things, international banks at FLL, cruise traffic, business and leisure. I wouldn't be shocked to see Frontier try to CLT-MIA or MCO.
  14. I never understood why Qatar opted not to put crew rest modules for at least some of there 787.
  15. Not really to be honest. I rather it be an E175 than a CRJ700 which UA does on DEN-ATL. If AC has an E190 flight from Toronto to PDX which is a little over 4 hours, CLT-DEN isn't bad at all. From personal experience, I'd take a E175 over a 737 any day.
  16. We only had one flight to Ottawa... Nothing to sweat about, but it still sucks were losing a route. On the Alaska Airlines note, very disappointed with them not coming to CLT. Does AA and AS codeshare? Yes, but that doesn't mean Alaska doesn't have a fit here. Let's be clear, the 4 daily is only in the summer and usually goes right back down to 2 daily or even one daily in the low season. AS should add a flight here and AA should cut one of there flights and just work together in scheduling. I'm willing to bet people don't would much rather fly on AS metal over AA metal any day. I myself would still fly JetBlue to SEA from CLT but, if I absolutely had too, I'd take AS any day over AA. At least with adding CLT, it's more of a low risk add, unlike adding routes like LAX-BWI, SEA-BNA, which is Southwest territory.
  17. -Air Berlin, I mentioned my thoughts about it on FlyerTalk so....
  18. For A330 transatlantic ops, wasn't there a spare A333 for S15? Could they possibly put that A333 on CLT-FRA and then the FRA A332 on whatever route needs the A332.
  19. Southwest is adding a daily nonstop flight from CLT to DAL (Dallas Love Field) 737-700. 2:15 depp from Clt and a 1:45 arrival from DAL
  20. That is awfully short. I guess they just want to test the waters and see how it plays out...then extend it next year.
  21. June or July of this year??? Wowwiwoww! Hope this comes to fruition. Also, US is starting service from CLT-ABQ beginning this June. Operated on an A320
  22. It was my pleasure! I usually been keeping my lid shut on anet because I'm bound to hear it from all the MIA fanboys and the rest of the CLT hater gang. My blood was at a boiling point when I read that.
