Thats problematic. We usually have to defer to Concord to FLL via Allegiant but seats are extremely limited due to the popularity of cost and NS flights.

I will say that Concord is MUCH easier to get in and out of so there's that.

That’s a nice thought. I’ll take CLT any day over Concord.

Plus it’s about 45 minute drive from my area.....that’s if there isn’t any traffic....... No thank you lol. I can see why it’s “easier”, but CLT is just as easy in my opinion.

I am still patiently waiting for a CLT-FLL flight... The prices between Charlotte to South Florida are ridiculous

I’ve been waiting since they ended it. They’ll add it back eventually, FLL is too big for JetBlue  to not connect CLT.

Hopefully when they do, people actually use it....

  3. Well, JetBlue is finally adding a much needed 3rd flight from CLT-BOS. I think there’s more to come on this front with JetBlue service into CLT. They actually do well here. (I know, hard to believe with just 4 flights a day) I feel there trying to balance out where they don’t piss AA off to much, but build a good frontprint in a big business market of there’s.

Cant wait to see them in the new Acon!

This schedule below seems a bit odd. I personally thought a 10am, 3pm 8pm departure would be good. Then eventually add a 6am departure from CLT. This is still far out and of course and  subject to change. I’m very excited to see this! Been about 6 years since JetBlue has added a flight.

  4. I'm glad that Pittsburgh got de-hubbed and those fine resources were allocated to Charlotte. The geographic location made it pointless to maintain a hub there with the close proximity to Philadelphia. Charlotte had everything going for it and still does.

When comparing the interior of the terminals, who really cares. People just care about getting from point A to point B.

Does Charlotte need a face lift in some parts of the airport? Absolutley and that will come in time.

The most important thing is were one of the strongest hub for American and we keep continuing to grow our network.

  5. A few things.

I wouldn't necessarily say AirTan couldn't make CLT-MCO work. Now between there ATL/BWI flights it was definitely the weaker of the two. They flew consitnently all the way up til WN took over. Even upgraded in to a 737 from time to time. I do remember times where they wouldn't fly it for a season but it was always around... use to take all the time to visit family. Again, CLT-MDW on AirTran isn't worth bringing up or using it as a measurement. That whole FL MDW operation was a terrible idea for them.

For jetBlue they couldn't make CLT-FLL work THEN in 2007. But they surely could make it work NOW in 2016. You need to remember when they started the route in 07 FLL for jetblue had maybe 25-30 flights a day with limited connecting opportunities. Fast forward to now there closing in on 100 daily flights there with plans to grow FLL to 140 flights a day in the next few years. Frankly B6 would be the only carrier that can will be able to successfully make a year round flight to Florida.

who knows what F9 does. I looked on there schedule and see CLT-DEN/ORD are nowhere to be found. I know there seasonal routes but you'd think DEN & ORD could start up in the spring.

Anyway, back to a local topic, I am really interested in seeing the performance of RDU-CDG. It seems that those Raleigh fanboys are becoming worse than the Miami ones-pouncing on those who say RDU is a small, tertiary city, and proposing that RDU will soon have nonstop to China. Dream on.

Man you said it. Those fanboys are getting a little hot on anet. Quite annoying honestly. Get over yourself, the route is subsidized I believe, that's really the only way RDU could get it. Isn't there RDU-LHR paid for as well?? Lol what joke XD

Anyways. Hope we see AA make CLT-CDG/MAD year round.

  7. Let's be honest. That 2nd FRA flight only operated from March ish-October if I remember. Since then LHR has been 2 daily or at least 10 weekly in the winter. The chance that MAD will go year would have never happened if US and AA didn't join forces.  All those RJ adds are necessary to create more feed. At least they weren't a bunch of CRJ 200 adds. A lot of CRJ 900 flying, which isn't bad at all.

On a smaller note I think it's absolutely pathetic that BA isn't in CLT. That's just me though.

  8. Not to be that nick picky guy. But in the section of new nonstops routes for AA. We've had service from CLT-Portland, Maine flight for years now. At least the one daily A319, although I think it's 2 daily now with a crj 900

Amazing stuff coming out of CLT as usual. Hope to see the number increase with frontier adding more lift out of here, United up gauging some flights and American doing its thing!:)
