  1. Are you kidding? They've had Christmas decorations up at J.C. Penney's since the 2nd week in September.
  2. If they like the Blues then you should try Seldom Blues in the RenCen adjacent to the GM Wintergarden. If money is no object however, you can't beat the view from The Coach Insignia at the top of the RenCen Marriott.
  3. The Moross House is one of the most important structures in the city. The fact that the current administration was neglecting it is inexcusable. I salute the Scott's for halting its decline. 6. Cool! I'll have to drive down and take some photos.

  8. I posted a Jazz Fest schedule in the Metro Events thread. Here's a shot of Dr. John at Campus Martius. He put on a great show!
  9. All of The meters in Chicago (if you can find one) only accept quarters. It has become nearly impossible to find on-street parking in downtown Chicago. Shortly after 9/11 they removed the meters and banned on-street parking adjacent to any large building for security reasons.
  10. Well, there is a beach on Belle Isle so I guess the water is clean enough for swimming. However, the seawalls along the shoreline make the river very choppy and dangerous downtown.
