Hey ya go folks! This is a 2-week timelapse consolidated into about a minute. Construction crews Preparing the Field of Play at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte NC between 10/17 - 11/06/2013.

I just ran by the site, and there was a construction truck and 2 guys with shovels on the north side of the lot. I think there is some old utility there, and I have no clue if its related, but its the first activity I've ever seen in this lot.

They ended up working until after dark and laid about half of the sod! Check this out! Feel free to share this link with your friends. I will post a 2-week timelapse of the entire field preparation later this week. Enjoy.

Here is today's timelapse to compliment the awesome pic from wend28!! I'll make a nice one of the sod very soon!

It's getting really interesting at the Ballpark! Today they prepped the field for sod by laying tarps and covering them.

Here is a pretty good pic of the seats and small upper deck seating too. I'll post a timelapse tonight.

Here is today's timelapse of SouthMint Apartments. For some reason, Jenga comes to mind about half way thru...LOL! It looks MUCH better in HD if you click this link instead of viewing the embedded video:

I created this the other day. If you are patient and watch until the end, the dark clouds actually give way to a cool sunset.

Checkout the beginning of this timelapse (remember to switch to HD video)...I captured them moving the scaffolding from one level to another. Also, there seems to be more activity in BofA Stadium....hopefully they are installing a better team! argh.

Anyone have an idea when the announcement will happen? Also, it doesnt look like the webcam is active.
Maybe the announcement is that they are getting a new webcam! LOL. I noticed it was down about 2 weeks ago when my timelapse scripts stopped working.

Tonights timelapse. Similar to previous ones, but no two are the same! The colors were pretty vibrant tonight (not as much as last night, but still nice).

I bet it will be in the park. :-p
I spoke to 2 Meck Park and Rec staff the other day about the sculptures...they said it was originally supposed to go in the small green patch at the base of the waterfall, but a different location is being considered now. they said it will likely go near 3rd st if the original plan is scrapped.

Im home sick, so I figured I make a timelapse of the Childress Klein SouthMint Apartments construction. This one is 1200 photos at 5 second intervals rendered into a 20 frames per second movie.
-
Checkout this evening/nights timelapse. This one is about 1500 photos. The star to the left is Venus if my research is correct.

ok, this one is even better IMO. Last nights snapped 1800 photos, so i was able to compile it at 29 frames per second, which is DVD quality. Let me know what you think please. The link views in HD, but the embedded video would need to be changed to HD by using the little gear button.

I got the a/c power cord for my camera, but it still cut off early. This second attempt at night timelapse is a lot like the first, but I think it turned out nicer. The link will view in High-Def.

was just jogging in the 4th ward and noticed the entire block around Edwin Tower (the ugly 12 story tan building) is fenced off for renovation. I missed this one:
3rd Ward Midrise Projects

Latta Arcade. With the explosive growth of the 3rd ward, and the unique niche of the small corridor, I envision greatness at this juncture.
