The Medical Center of Central Georgia is helping out Downtown Macon a lot. They are building a new Heart Institute in the Medical District. Its about 8 or 9 stories tall. Another addition the the largest hospital outside Atlanta (Grady) http://www.mccg.org/images/GHCNewBldg.jpg

Yea the Atlanta developer pulled out but hes pursuing the project independtly with his ATL crew and the Macon crew is too. So basicaly they are each others competition now.
