  1. I happened to get some lunch today at Yummy Wok in Ghent (off of Brandon Ave. and they opened last weekend). Very good Chinese food and the portions are generous. And not to mention affordable. Ghent has a lot of diverse choices for dining.
  2. It looks like Waterside will stay after all, but will get a major facelift: http://www.wvec.com/news/Report-Keep-Waterside-but-give-it-a-facelift-113235779.html I hope it can be restored to its former glory and more. I went by it earlier tonight and it looked deserted, what a shame.
  3. There's no AJ Wright at Janaf. The store that was Marshall's is now a Conway (New York based discount fashion chain), which sells poor quality clothing. There's an AJ Wright on Lynnhaven Parkway in Va. Beach, not sure what's become of it.
  4. Does anyone know what the hold up is with the Yummy Wok on Brandon Avenue? It look like it has been ready to open for over a month, but nothing has happened. Just wondering. (I accidentally started this as a topic, I am new to Urban Planet, sorry)
  5. Wasn't there a Esprit store in MacArthur for a couple of years then it closed? I remember the Esprit being there when the mall first opened in 1999. I think it was only open for 2-3 years, then it closed.
  6. A IKEA or Target would be really nice as a third anchor. IKEA would be a good fit since the closet location is in NOVA. Target would be also nice, since the closest location in Norfolk is on Military Highway. This is just my opinon-MacArthur never really felt like a mall to me because it never had a third anchor. I also wish MacArthur had a Old Navy, a Gap, and a food court with more variety (i.e. Taco Bell, Sakura Japan, Arbys, KFC, Dairy Queen).
  7. I think the name of the place before California Pizza Kitchen, was Castaldi's Italian restaurant. They had singing waiters and waitresses. I never went there, because the place was a bit pricey. I have gone to Max and Erma's several times, their food is not to bad, but they are kind of hidden towards the back of the mall and I think CPK and Chilli's steal their thunder. I also just cant see a Toby Keith bar at MacArthur, but I could see one at Granby Street or Virginia Beach Town Center.
