Guys, I think the cart may in fact be ahead of the horse. I've read the increase in confidence on this board with somewhat of a "grain of salt" so to speak. I travel the southeast extensively and have offices in Raleigh (my home) Charlotte, Columbia, Charleston, Atlanta, and Fort Lauderdale. I read business periodicals from each daily. Atlanta has held the position that it was theirs all along. I'm not saying its done, and I really don't care one way or the other, but the chatter down there has been that we are pretenders to the throne.

You wouldn't know it from the shameless self promotion, but Trump isn't a big developer. Last list I saw had him about 10th in NYC, much less the nation. Silverstein could buy him for what he thinks he's worth, and sell him for what he's really worth and not miss the money. In fact, Trump's in trouble again, and not just his casinos.

Atlrvr, you are full of surprises. I almost bought at Gardens on Glenwood, a Grubb project, when I moved to Raleigh. Very usable plans, less of the loft look. I'm just not sure I'm ready for sleek cabinets and no door on the bedroom, I'd have to keep it neat! I am finding from my research that I like the midrise projects best in terms of the units, but my what a view from 20, 30, 50 stories up. Decisions, decisions.

Any thoughts on the Grubb project on Elizabeth? Looks like it will be an uptown Phillips place. Could be cool.
