  1. The old bus station property, that he now owns, extends one block south (right)?
  2. "Furman expects to break ground on the project, valued at about $60 million, early next summer and deliver the first condos by summer 2007."
  3. If the car-rental tax fails, I have to believe that the city or banks will find another way. Who knows, maybe the banks will provide the cash in exchange for some more property.
  4. Does anyone think that NASCAR will pick Charlotte to solidify its based, much like Bush picking Judge Alito? What are the chances that Charlotte would build a competing stockcar museum if it didn't get chosen?
  5. Is Courtside off the picture, or should it be on the edge?
  6. I think for small children, there is a definite need for running around outside. Nothing is better for this than a yard or common grassy area very close by, IMO.
  7. So at 90 units per acre instead of 50, what kind of height might Levine be talking about?
  8. Levine has been quoted in the papers, that he will have some announcements by sometime next year. I hope it happens!
  9. Workers there say Levine is just putting in surface parking.
  10. atlvr, you still think only 60-70% chance of happening?
  11. Atlanta track has $25-40 million in damage from tornado. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/motor/nasca...a-tornado_x.htm
  12. As far as I know, just the city land between 9th & 11th to the rail corridor that was part of the arena financing. Don't think his buy includes the additional land...at least yet.
  13. I understand that he's about to buy the city's property (via BofA) on Brevard between 9th and 11th.
  14. Unless the value of the property were in the land and not the building (i.e., buy to tear down the building and build something bigger and better).
  15. I'm new to this, and a little slow. I think I follow, though. Cap Rate as a multiplier is 10-13 or as a divisor is 7.25-11% in these examples. NOI is in annual terms. This method assumes the value of the property is in the building/rental, and not the land. Am I correct?
  16. Thanks, atlrvr! Should NOI determine a building's value? This ties it directly to your amount of debt.
