Folks should also remember that the only reason CLT ended up with a AAA franchise is that George Shinn thought he could eventually parlay that into a MLB franchise. AA suited the QC just fine for a long time and I imagine would again in a close-in, organic stadium should Don Beaver prove not to have the deep pockets needed for more expensive AAA.
