I'm glad everyone is safe. That's the most important thing.
Does anyone know if Graystone of Prairieville made it through? I used to live there and was curious.

I post the whole article because its a great article. I copy and paste and I will continue doing that.
Actually, it's in most cases copyright infringement. Most forums I frequent would not allow entire articles. Typically an excerpt and a link is the most you should do.
I'm with the others. Short summary or copy the key paragraph and link the rest. If someone is interested they will open the link and read the full article.

The area I live in is very fast growing and we have a severe lack of hospitals. We have these small emergency rooms. They can triage people and if necessary make a safe transfer to a full hospital should longer term care be required. I think these would be helpful.

K&B had the best ice cream. I miss it.

We have those here in DFW. I haven't been to one but most people I know really like it. The other thing that would be awesome for BR is Top Golf.

When I traveled for work I looked at BTR. Since I lived close to an even distance time wise I almost always chose MSY. Odds were good I could get a non-stop to where I was going. BTR though is a very nice airport. Short walk. Cheap parking. Minimal security.

AP needs to honestly start taxing themselves to get more infrastructure projects done. I can't believe it's taken this long to start these projects....much less complete them.
They will never do that. Part of the reason we left was the unwillingness of the area to invest in the community.

AW,
That's a lot like O'niel. That project took 5 years.

Very nice!

Until something happens, I will file this in the "more talk" file.

How is the demand for housing in the BR area? I would be worried with the price of oil taking it's toll on the economy at some point has to dry up demand for housing.

Just another nail in the coffin for Cortana.

Average salary of 40k for a team of software engineering team is very low. Most entry level devs should fetch around 45 to 50k in BR. Here in DFW, we are paying around 65k to 70k for entry level. Even the PM and QA positions thrown in and that average is low.

The latest I've heard is the LA42 widening project is a bit of a mess. Does anyone have any perspective on this? I used to use that road daily hence the interest.

Hopefully the funding gets passed.

I've gotten so spoiled in Dallas with all the development. Most of the subdivisions here are 800, sometimes 1000+ homes. We live very close to this one: Philips Creek Ranch. It's about a 1,000 acres. The amenities these places have are crazy. This subdivision is soo big it has 4 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 1 high school dedicated for it.

I think at some point gentrification will happen in N. BR. This might be the start.

Here's a similar article out of the Advocate.

How about at 2am flashing the lights. I don't see why this can't be done. Flash yellow for the man road.

they'll figure it out. The one on LA42 outside of Port Vincent was working out pretty well.

Sweet!

Remove the bike lanes, typical backward thinking.

Amedysis is downsizing so they might potentially move to a different location within BR.

A shuttle would make sense. That would be something they could do on the BTR side.

Sorry about the house, that really sucks.
