  1. ========== West Peachtree & Spring at 10th has 2.3 acres, its right off 10th street ramp and a West Peachtree at 10th address is just a stone's throw from 10th & Peachtree, etc etc. Any word on what will happen with this high elevation West Peachtree large parcel? http://www.shailendragroup.com/1010westpeachtree.asp
  2. With all the Midtown Mile PR, seems Hotel Palomar at 866 West Peachtree Street and proposed Centergy International 11 story new building on Spring Street around 6th are quite overlooked. And now with Georgia Tech taking over West Peachtree & 7th Academy of Medicine building and their about an acre parking lot facing ECCO restaurant, seems this is a pretty hot 1-3 block area. Anyone know more of the inside skinny on any of these such as GT takeover date/preliminary plans, Centergy construction date, Palomar retail? Thanks.
  3. Isn't that already part of Centergy? A while back, I believe someone posted that the West Peachtree & 5th facing old Dialysis clinic building and parking lot and the next door Capstone building and parking lot, are both owned by Georgia Tech. If true, this provides them the full Midtown block of West Peachtree to Spring, west to east and Biltmore (Place?) to 5th, north to south. Can anyone kindly confirm if this is accurate and, if so, what the GT Master plan /and timetable presently anticipate for this nearby to Crum and Forster block?
  4. The Georgia Tech Foundation recently posted their position on the Crum and Forster Building. http://www.gtf.gatech.edu/ Can't help but wonder what their best thinking - and timetable - are now on developing that area now said to be eventual Technology Square expansion. Separately, anyone know more about nearby Hotel Palomar on West Peachtree beyond Spring 2009 Opening?
  5. Yeah, soil testing / drilling work was taking place today. Beautiful building! Back at the 7th Street and West Peachtree Academy of Medicine building, survey work was taking place with word that Georgia Tech might somehow be involved. Unconfirmed report, of course. Speaking of GT, anyone hear what happened at tonight's Midtown Alliance DRC meeting on GT Crum & Forster demolition permit?
  6. Regarding the Margaret Mitchell property, soon to be Jamestown property, (please see article below)... http://www.accessatlanta.com/blogs/content...round_marg.html ...has anyone heard more of whether all "possibly 650 parking spaces" will be underground and what the above ground development plans are? More public parking so close to Midtown Mile (and Midtown MARTA) sure is a welcome idea!
  7. Anyone have any idea on what Georgia Tech is doing with the two 3 or 4 story buildings at West Peachtree & 5th streets - the old Dialysis Clinic building and The Capstone Building? Acuity Plaza sure seems to be shaping up nicely.
  8. I believe the AJC article stated voting to sell for "atleast" $7 million. Logically, if, as published, there was a competing $8 million offer, you can bet the $7M was countered upwards so minimal money, if any, was left on the table. No inside knowledge though.
  9. Great pictures as always, Martinman Can you kindly update Hotel Palomar construction photos when time allows? Love the bird's eye - or Mid City Lofts/Centergy - view Thank you
  10. The Coke side of ... 75/85, westward, is even more Georgia Tech dominated. The east side of 75/85, next to this beautiful new office tower at 77 5th at Centergy, has just over seven (7) more acres with superb expressway visability. This is where the Atlanta Coca-Cola Bottling Company used to operate their primary Atlanta bottling operation. Anyone have ideas on on what is likey to go there? The sign posted notes 4 acre and 3 acre parcels divided by 8th Street and now represented by Cushman and Wakefield. Two huge footprints! Congrats to all involved with 77 5th at Centergy !!!
  11. Very cool photo, Martinman. Thanks for sharing with us. Can you kindly update this construction progress photo from time to time?
  12. Good points. Check out the now open high end clothing store at Mid City Lofts. Sounds like it's opening for business Feb 21 or 22. http://aroundmidtown.com/?p=111 And the new AMORE Mediteranean restaurant at Plaza Midtown just opened for business. With great street presence and a cool deck, the West Peachtree St "Acapulco Grille and Cantina" site just needs some TLC to be a successful business and fun Midtown hangout. Hotel Palomar should help all West Peachtree Street businesses a lot come Spring 2009.
  13. Thanks to anyone who can shed light on this project and the "three pace setting surprises".
  14. There are two free standing buildings for lease diagonally across from Hotel Palomar. West Peachtree & 7th St corner Joinus Cleaners building (soon to relocate) and the next door former Acapulco restuarant site ( long ago "A Taste of New Orleans" restaurant is also available - evidenced by recently placed broker sign. If anyone has ideas on what retail would work best there, I hope you'll openly share those thoughts. I think retail clothing store opening in Mid City Lofts ground floor. Any truth to word that residential development may go on Academy of Medicine Building parking lot? Palomar sure is looking good !
  15. Check out some of the late August early Sept postings. While maybe not exactly what you seek, may still be helpful. Thanks too to whomever is able to post updates
  16. Spring Street side of Midtown - around Midtown Marta - often seems to be under the radar. The Cheetah, the old Coke property around 8th, etc. Anyone have an idea on what new development may be there next year or two...or three to five?
  17. Restaurants are always good. Will Palomar Hotel have any? Has anyone heard what is happening with the 7 acres of Spring Street property around 8th Street where the Atlanta Coca-Cola Bottler used to be? Is it likely they'll be 2008 announcement on that property? And the Cousins West Peachtree St AGL parking lot across from Plaza Midtown condos and Midtown Marta station. Probably years away from development - or not?? Happy New Year to all
