  1. Shopping theory/psychology.

Charge a crazy fee ($50.00?) made at rental.  The fee is only returned when scooter is "returned appropriately."  The only problem is what is appropriate (crowd-source corrals, etc.?) and how do you determine the return (picture, gps, etc.?).  Maybe some small form of structure like car or moving vehicle rentals?

Can someone clue me in on the coyote connection?

It's in the article. About a coyote that was removed to the wild. But then came back to the 'big city' and was found at the construction site of the new stadium.

Yeah, a coyote found it's way into the Music City Center a couple of years ago and Officer Brenna Hosey helped get him out. :tw_lol:

Here's the original story from the Tennessean.  Poor coyote looks so ashamed :tw_cry:.  He/she(?) knows they done messed up :tw_joy:.

I found this “real time” flight tracker app and have really enjoyed it.  At any given moment I can see where a flight overhead is coming-from and going-to.

The other night (around midnight) I was curious to see our region’s air traffic.  It’s interesting to see how Memphis (FedEx) and Louisville (UPS) is so incredibly busy with parcel flights from all over the world.

I suppose since Louisville and Memphis are so close, Nashville will never become a hub for these kinds of flights?  Maybe if Amazon ever launches their own fleet?  :-)

That's a great app.  I do the same with it!  Use it so much and love to sky watch that I can now make a decent guess where the aircraft is headed, sometimes even where it originated.

Yup, a few hours before midnight you can tell the FedEx and UPS air traffic begins to heat up around those airports.

WHAT... somehow I am just now seeing this, and you just blew my damn mind... how did I not know this until now??!?!!

Lol...that's ok.  I had a similar moment a few weeks ago.  Watched so much Saved by the Bell growing up, and I thought I was familiar with Zack, aka Mark-Paul Gosselaar.   However, it took someone mentioning that he plays Paul, the main family's father, on a show I've been watching, Mixed-ish!!!  I, thought, who is this guy?!  He looks so familiar!!  Mind was blown when I finally made the connection!  I even looked him up on IMDB, but it just wasn't registering.

Side note, Paul's dad, Harrison, played by Gary Cole is the the sadistic office supervisor Bill Lumbergh from Office Space!

I loved both Inspector Gadget and Get Smart growing up (80s-90s Nickelodeon kid)!  Don Adams' voice was so distinct to me, but I don't think I would have realized it unless my dad told me.

    Ok, :offtopic:!

Off topic of this building's construction, but on topic with Vanderbilt - I really wish Vanderbilt had a software programming school to help our tech sector. If Vanderbilt does have one and I am mistaken, is the program any good?

Do any Nashville universities offer software programming?

I know it's not everyone's favorite school/campus, but I believe Lipscomb does have CS degrees as well.

When assembling the crane on 3/18 they did not add the small metal extension at the top and the cables attached to it that lend extra support to the boom (my terms may not be correct).  Is that extra support required on every crane or do some not need it?

    Found this: https://www.simscrane.com/flat-top-tower-cranes-popularity-rising/

    Quote

How do flat-tops differ from other tower cranes?

The main difference is that flat-tops, also called topless cranes, do not have an A-frame or cat-head structure above the tower, as well as pendant lines that connect the top of the A-frame to the jib and counterjib. The absence of these items makes transporting, assembly and erection easier and quicker. Additionally, when a construction project requires multiple cranes, the jib of one crane requires less height clearance to pass under the jib of its neighbor.

Traditional hammerhead tower cranes utilize the A-frame structure for additional strength in lifting cargo. With no A-frame present, flat-top cranes lift comparatively less. In recent times, however, flat-tops with lifting capacities of 32 to 50 tons have entered the market. Conventional flat-tops typically lift 8 to 10 tons, so newer models with higher capacities have become a welcome response to market demands.
