I only skimmed this, but there doesn't seem to be much in the plan for Va Beach except for light rail to the oceanfront.

Although it will never happen, I think it would be a great place for a casino.

I was at the Super Walmart off Frederick Blvd today and noticed a fairly large new apartment complex across the old Norcom HS lot. I looked on the internet and am guessing that these are the Crescent Place Apartments. It looks like a great improvement over the run down housing that was over in that area. Midtown has definitely made a lot of improvent in the last few years and it looks to continue with the Gateway project mentioned above.

As a daily user of the Midtown Tunnel (reverse commuter luckily), it makes sense that an extension of LRT to Portsmouth/Suffolk would be successful. Until then, maybe an express bus from the medical center station to Portsmouth/Suffolk would suffice. By allowing a bus to cut to the front of the line at the tunnel would save commuters 15-30 minutes at rush hour.
