  1. I believe they like to keep boots out b/c it's supposed to be a club--hence dancing. Dancing and Timberlands do not go together.
  2. Thanks for the welcome back. Although, I've never posted here prior to now. Even though I joined over 3 yrs ago Well, if you have to put soul into a meal, then it's going to take a while...haha. It's not the fastest place, but that probably depends on what you order. For instance, the fried chicken, while amazing, takes 20 minutes b/c you get 1/2 of a good-size chicken.
  3. They're probably not in constant use, but they're all spoken for as far as I know.
  4. yes, and I believe this scenario is much more likely. less service = higher prices = bad for Richmond. I'm not one to be negative, but I don't see 'more gates' for airtran/jet blue as an advantage for us--it's an advantage for other airlines at major airports like LaGuardia/JFK/LAX/etc...
  5. per the RT-D article the mcallister's there just decided to close shop. They didn't provide a reason. On a completely different note, this past week I checked out La'V's Homemade dining at 1823 E Main St. in the bottom, and I must say La'V knows how to fix some amazing soul food and the personalities there will surely remind you of your grandma. She's very customer friendly and I seriously doubt you will finish all of the food on your plate, much less make it to the mouth watering dessert offerings...If only I worked downtown, then I would visit there for lunch on occasion (I must stick around my office in The Fan)...
  6. that's not necessarily a bad thing b/c once we're @ 60% capacity, we're at the industry average...I would also imagine a 10:30 flight out of Richmond isn't exactly peak time for business travellers, and they're most of what goes to NYC anyhow.
  7. yeah, it's cooler in person believe it or not... I've been there about 5 times since it has been open and there's always something new to check out
  8. Cabo's is loud? I ate there during restaurant week, and it was silent. I felt weird even talking inside there. Keep in mind I perfer a very LOUD/lively place like Edo's Squid...but I felt like Cabo's was more akin to eating alone in my own dining room. Not really my preferred scene. Of course, being a 24 yo I'm also not their target market... I will say that the food was amazing @ Cabo's.
  9. Sure does... I walk there about once a week for lunch
  10. not to speak for burt, but I work in that area and the DMV HQ building has a great cafeteria. You really can't beat their prices and selection...
  11. I'm 22 and I own a condo near The Fan in Richmond...I work in the same general area.
