What do you folks think about the feasibility of a new Knights ballpark on a portion of the Morningside Village land in PM? That project has obviously stalled considerably. They could still incorporate housing with the remaining land. In the future (hopefully) there'd be access to the streetcar on Central. My biggest concern would be sufficient parking. I know someone posted the idea of Eastland Mall site awhile back which I thought was cool but think this is better. Nice potential for a Wrigley-ville vibe.

Southend Towns

I mentioned this last week in the Southend Living forum but there is a Grand Opening for these 2 new developments (Towns and Flats) today (Wed July 22nd) from 430-7 near Bland St. Station. It'll be nice to get some new information.

I just received an evite today for a grand opening party for 2 new developments in South End. South End Towns and South End Flats. July 22nd from 430 - 7. Looks like the party will be located very close to Bland St. Station on that grassy area/parking lot for Canine Cafe. That must be where one of the projects is going? Pretty smart location though. They'll be able to catch people on their way home from work. Might be worth stopping by.

I'm sure most of you have seen this http://www.greenvilledrive.com/news/index....?article_id=238 but I thought I'd add it to the conversation. I think it's great the Drive is opening the field to other college games that aren't necessarily tournaments. I'm particularly excited to see my alma mater Michigan State is making the trek down for a few games mid March. I will be making a road trip down from Charlotte to partake in that. This will be my third time to West End Field. Big fan. I'm also itching to try the Brown Street Club as I saw it in construction last time I was down. And now they've already gone through a renovation! That is conversation for another thread though... Back on topic, I think the new Drive website is quite an improvement.
