I was driving south on HWY. 49 today from Concord, and after crossing Rocky River Road I realized the greyish building on the horizon was the Vue. Within a few moments, the entire skyline popped into view before being eliminated by the trees. The Vue appears to stretch the uptown skyline quite a bit from such a distance. Now we need some other buildings to fill that space in.

As soon as I heard that Trumpster was in town and had spoken about purchasing in Charlotte, I knew this board would be buzzing with speculation. Can we all just agree that Trump is interested in promoting Trump. If saying he's interested in buying in Charlotte gets him a few extra seconds on television or in the paper while the sheep (us) hang on his every word, I say he's up for it. Until financing is secured and a sales office opens, nothing is going to happen.

I'm also psyched to see a comedy club as part of the whole development. Charlotte needs a venue like that in the uptown area.

What is the latest with this thing going vertical? I remember that there were issues and court dates set between developers. Does anyone have an update on EpiCentre?

The price is incredibly expensive, but how much income could they generate by selling off these new parcels in an ultra-cool new project? Would the cost of the parcels pay for the project? If so, it seems to be a no-brainer. Does anyone have any background in engineering to answer the question about whether you can build a skycraper on a "cap" space?
