  1. Thanks guys! I think I'll submit this one to Guideposts Magazine! Cricket
  2. Good Morning! TGIF!! For my morning shot, I thought this would be appropriate: This was one of those surprise scenes that you just run across. I was driving down the road (off Hwy 11 in Greenville County) early one morning and I saw the sunrays as I rounded a curve. I continued up around the curve you see in the pic and turned around. Luckily I caught the shot before the rays disappeared. Cricket
  3. Kinda late in the evening for my afternoon photo but better late than never: Historic Poinsett Bridge Cricket
  4. Very cool! That's exactly where I will be in about an hour - at Piazza Bergamo. That would be really nice if they would extend Bergamo. Cricket
  5. I'm not very familiar yet with the roads directly around Main... what road is this? I do spy a Steak House sign... may have to check it out! Cricket
  6. And here's my morning pic: I'll be downtown at lunch for the National Day of Prayer so I hope to get more shots along Main St. today. Cricket
  7. Totally agree. I do give consideration if I'm shooting flora as I prefer to get the most bang for my buck color wise with bright sun illuminating the petals (morning and afternoon - never when the sun is high in the sky). Moving water, as RT has stated, works best under lower light. And since I live at Hartwell Lake, if I know a storm is coming in the next day, the broken clouds along the horizon help make for a great sunset view from the top of the dam. Cricket
  8. The memory card did escape unscathed, however I took the picture the next afternoon with my backup camera - a Fuji S9000. I never made it across the creek to the tulips on the day I fell. But I got really ticked and decided to go back from the opposite side of the creek. I'm stubborn that way... I won't let anything beat me. Actually, the tulips opened up a bit more and I think made a better photo because of it. Not $6,000 worth of better, but... Cricket
  9. I don't even have man parts and mine cringe too... (great shot of the TR practice! I've gotta get up there one evening) Here are the $6,000 tulips: Cricket
  10. This beautiful garden cost me my Nikon D2Xs along with my 70-200 lens (a $6,000 set-up)... I fell crossing the creek above the falls and busted the camera and lens. Talk about a sick feeling... AND I hobbled for three weeks while crying over my spilt camera. All for red tulips.... I hate tulips now... Cricket
  11. From a couple of weeks ago... the azaleas had just fully blossomed at Rock Quarry Gardens, my favorite 'get away from work for an hour' spot! Cricket
  12. Spectacular shot, RT!!! I'd love to get a night shot from this angle. I'll be there Friday night for Elton John, but I'd rather have less people in the pic! YEA!!!! Elton is Friday!!! Cricket
  13. Okee Dokee... this is my first photo post. I'm posting from work so I have just few shots to choose from this morning. This is a view from back in the fall - the obligatory Bell Tower shot from Furman University. As hot as its suppose to get today, you may wish to be transported back in time to this autumn day! Furman Bell Tower Cricket
