That would be "pretty darn sweet" if that was all permanent. I like the purple light shining on the Renaissance Center. And again Comerica Tower is lit up and the other building to the west of Woodward look magnificent.

Yea it would. I just still can't believe how massive the First National Building is. It seems so much larger than alot of the other buildings in Downtown Detroit. Is this true? Or is it just the way I am looking at it?

I would like to see something like Times Square,NY going in here. It is the perfect location. Maybe a building could be built on top of the coney islands. Does Detroit even have a New Years Celebration?

The more I see the renderings the more I like it. I mean come on, who came up with that doorstop thing. Any news on first floor retail? I want an ESPN Zone and a Virgin Records. That would be sweet. Lets get some more chain retail downtown.

Yea that proposal is ugly. I hope if it comes back to the drawing board, that it will be ".....more architectually sound....." I would have liked to see a tower there though.

I saw workers on top of Ford Field a couple of days after the All Star Game. I looked like they were painting.

So was I. That would have been a good spot to put a residential tower. I think it would have boosted Grand Circus Park a little bit more.

I like our streetgrid right now. Woodward's plan made too many odd shaped lots. But if you think about it, the odd lots could have pushed for some very unique buildings.

It must be clean because a friend of mine went to a charity event about a week and a half ago to see a bunch of olympic swimmers. He said they got a bunch of free stuff and they either had to swim a 1k, half mile, or 1 mile. They actually swam in the river. They didn't go straight downstream, there were bouys so it was like they had laps.
