Alright I am starting to see a trend here with the M's. First Millen, then Morningweg, then Mariuci, and now Marinelli.

Those businesses could be the eastern part and it could extend westward to Lafayette Park. I think it would be cool to have a nice district like that. It would give Detroit all the more reason to cap I375 or raise it into a boulevard with Greektown and Asiantown next to each other. The only thing that would be standing in the way would be the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Complex. I kind of wish that that complex could be demolished and moved to the West Side of Downtown near DTE. Then put alot of infill where the complex "used" to be. If this "new" complex were built it would be nice for them to move all of their suburban workers downtown and maybe get a two tower urban complex. I think we need to let Detroit's City Planner to our ideas. It would do wonders for the city.

I'm sorry everyone, but I always get the same thing. Many people hate me on this forum and I feel like I shouldn't even be here anymore. That is a reason why I haven't been popping up on the forum as much. Because of that. Whenever I post something, I am afraid that I am going to get reemed on, as I am worried about this post. I am sorry everyone that hates me here. About the Asiantown thing..... It sounds very interesting, but will there eventually be a district or is it just going to be in the parking garage. It would be nice to have a destination for Asian immigrants to flock to like they do for New York and San Fransisco.

An early New Years Toast to Michigan development. I am sorry if I have made anyone mad in the past, but I like to tell my feelings. Next time I will not do that. I think all of us feel unwelcomed at different points. And Lmichigan, just stop. Don't say you should leave. I mean I can say that you and I have had probably the most disagreements in the past, but you and I always put it behind us and move on(hopefully). From the Redico topic to the Port Authority Topic, even though all of them started because of me, we have had our differences. But wdifferences are hat this forum is built upon. I mean we all wouldn't have anything to talk about if there was nothing to disagree over. BTW, nice post Wolverine. And thankyou everyone for welcoming me here even though I am pretty young compared to all of you. I just love cities. Even my friends and family know that. The suburban people, as I am, refrain from talking badly about Detroit because they know my feelings.

Is this supposed to be a highrise? And what is that headquarters? I have never heard of them. This is a very great development. It is awesome to see some projects going in Downtown, Midtown, New Center, and neighborhoods around with valuable plans.

LOL! That was funny Jerald..... That is one of the most architecturaly significant buildings in Detroit. You know the most expensive renovation (to hopefully happen). The most expensive renovation in Detroit history that has taken so long to get the deal done with two firms being involved . One dropped out.....

I am proud that the city has finally been thinking deep into the plans and aren't just letting everyone of the plans go by. DENSITY and a CITYLIKE FEEL!!!!!

They need to have part of the bar on the second floor or offices because who wants to look out their window at a massive cement block.

The only bad part is, look how dark it is around the building.

Hopefully lofts, the lofts there could spur devolpment for the the Broderick Tower.

What is supposed to go in there? Didn't the plans fall through for the Post Bar?

Statedude, it is so awesome what you are doing. Its amazing what a person can accomplish. A college student maybe renovating an abandoned building. That may be unheard of.
