Looks like things are starting to look good at the Pavilion Shopping Center. Fort Smith is getting a first for Arkansas, an Ulta Beauty. The list of stores I can confirm so far are Target Best Buy Lane Bryant Ulta Bed Bath & Beyond Michael's Shoe Carnival Books-A-Million Old Navy Belk's Cheddar's Casual Cafe Chick-fil-a Blazin' Burrito

Okay, so far I can confirm a few stores for the Target shopping center. Lane Bryant, Michael's, Old Navy, Shoe Carnival, and Books-A-Million. Then Hastings in going to be moving up into the old Michael's building across from the mall... Seem's like resturuant row is lossing more shopping stores to other areas of town.

Not new, but so far we have Lane Bryant, Books-A-Million, Best Buy, Cheddars, and Target locating in the Fort Smith Pavilion

Anyone know what retailers are going to located next to the Kelly Highway supercenter? The only restaurant I can confirm is McDonald's. Seems like the river city is seeing a lot of of developments lately. I know the new VW Dealership is getting closer to being finished off of Zero.

Not a lot...I just know that it is supposed to be on the south end of the building....other than that not a whole lot has been mentioned to me....that and they are pushing for more national and upscale chains....

Something new in Fort Smith..... Central mall is prepping for an expansion.....the largest enclosed mall in Arkansas is set to get bigger

So we have a bit going on in fort smith right now Hooters getting ready to open up... Supercenter on the North side of town being built and a Target on the South side New Condo development US Marshal's Museum coming soon Anyone think of other good things we have going on right now?

I don't know if it is me or what, but everytime I'm in Fort Smith, I feel more like I'm in a city, than I do when I'm in Fayetteville. Maybe it's just we are much more of a urban town :0/

A big reason they haven't been annexed yet is Barling lives under this illusion that it's somehow beneficial economically. Not only would becoming a part of fort smith give Barling a better economic development foot holding, but also infrastructure would be better. Fort Smith just has more money to make for a good quality of life.

Anyone know what they are building down by El Zarape? I've seen that they've demolished the building that was there....
