  1. It is relevant. What a socialistic website. Nice to hear Trump is seriously interested
  2. LCC would stomp WN to the ground in fares, loyalist, dividend miles program,Star alliance, ETC. before southwest could ever get at least 15 flights. WN will not be in CLT {in regards of a focus city} for a while unless we get a new terminal. That master plan is crap.Read the Observer about CLT being the fastest growing airport. unless we move continental Express to terminal E, where would WN go?
  3. I did Not hear a rumor but I did see a press release where a executive was quoted about WN interest of going to London. I never said WN would be interested in doing CLT-London *unless* they "infest" Charlotte terminals.
  4. Southwest does plan on flying to London, and trying to decide what city they would fly from. They plan on using some of America Trans air aircraft. Also CLT has a USAirways hub, unlike RDU.
  5. I just don't see WN coming to Charlotte unless it plans on using Charlotte as a international focus city to London. CLT does not really have the O&D to have Southwest as a focus city. USAirways can match and go lower than Southwest fares, and USAirways has a better product, USAirways has a dividend card, USAirways has clubs,USAirways has regional jets, USAirways code-shares with Luftansa,ETC.
  6. On a side note http://charlotte.com/122/story/89528.html
  7. LCC= USAirways WN= Southwest B6=jet blue UAL=United Airlines F9= Frontier
  8. I like the expansion on Terminal B. And is that terminal on the right going to collide with the Regional terminal? I also like the idea of a new international terminal seeing how DoUgIe and the guys at the "sandcastle" {Tempe} got a hold of some A-340 500's and we got 10+ 330-200 Buses comeing in 2008-2010 { Has alot more range than the current A330-300 LCC has right now}, and 20 A-350 {WXB Versions} metal comeing in 2012 I would not mind seeing some{more} BMI,Air France, British Airways, and USAirways international operations out of Charlotte. I'm assuming the new terminal on the left is International, and probably F9,and B6 Services. And the Extension for Terminal B will HOPEFULLY only be for LCC And hopefully that other terminal to the right is the current Regional terminal {which I think is already having a really good number of gates added on} WN is already getting there butt kicked on LCC turf system-wide {east coast}.So I don't see WN comeing in on the LCC "Fortress" hub. WN does not "infest" "fortress" hubs, do they? Let the "Flag" fly ~ LCC
  9. I would say no. Based off of Neos last comment, and certain members post getting deleted.
  10. Please tell me your kidding. It drove me nuts every day that went by with no renderings.
  11. Tengo one question though. Bank Of America still seems to dominate the skyline to me. Will Bank Of America look like the dominat to the avg. joe?
  12. wow. First thing that struck me was all the different colors. awesome job.
  13. And also is that the minimal number of stories, or maximum ?
  14. where is the Westin? That would be really cool to see how our Skyline will literally be right beside the freeway.
  15. There is know way that can be Charlotte. AWESOME!!!!!! Looks like South Tryon will be the new dense part of our skyline.
  16. I wonder how Bank Of America will react to this? So with all our current projects, looks like our crown is finally disappearing.
  17. I still have Huge doubts Trump would put a 70 story tower in CHARLOTTE NC. Although... think of the bragging rights we could have over Atlanta and Nashville. ha ha, kidding.
  18. what Does the Vue have to do with Trump?
  19. My favorite condo tower so far , *only* because it has a crown. I know alot of out of town people, and they think of Charlotte as the queen city with the "crown" styled buildings.
  20. Deleted! Please read the rules, you can't post news articles on this site.
  21. http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/conte...05/b4019098.htm I hear United is very interested in LCC. They once tied to buy AWA, and US at the same time. AA, Continental, and NorthWest would also get good benefits. But LCC has other agendas, and doug parker would never share his wallet. So This really came out to be really good for Charlotte.Say we did merge, they MIGHT shift international ops from Minn. to CLT. If we do not get aquired according to the article we get knew hubs!!!!!I can relocate to our sister city.
  22. Southwest (LUV - commentary - Cramer's Take - Rating) has also noticed. In 2000, CEO Herb Kelleher discussed the possibility that the US Airways and United merger might involve divesting assets. He told a transportation conference that Charlotte was a city where, if regulators "said you have to give up half your gates, we'd be interested in looking at them." Southwest's position hasn't changed. If Delta and US Airways are required to turn over assets to satisfy regulatory requirements, LaGuardia and Charlotte are both places Southwest might choose to serve, spokeswoman Beth Harbin said recently. Requiring some Charlotte divestiture is not unlikely, says Mike Bell, who retired from Delta in 2004 as vice president of schedule development. During his career, Bell presided over scheduling and also evaluated the network efficiencies of mergers, most of which were never completed. also another article I can not find said Southwest would also be interested in maintence facilities at Charlotte I can't wait to fly them ROOMY 737's
  23. http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/070111/lath052.html?.v=80 about time! So far LCC has a few special liveries: PSA,Allegheny,Piedmont,America West, Arizona cardnals, Philidelphia eagles Las Vegas Diamond backs, And SOON to com Charlotte And Pittsburgh!
