  1. Not to diss South Park or Concord Mills, but being at 1.5 million square feet doesn't even put the two malls in the top 100 in America. Even adding an additional 200k sf nudges into the bottom of the top 100. In comparison, the two largest completed malls in the US are 2.7 million (South Coast Plaza, OC, California) and 2.503 mil (Sawgrass Mills, Ft Lauderdale, FL) square feet. Both our mega malls have a ways to go to get there. Maybe if they use all the land up there at Northlake (1.2 mil) and double the mall's size, we'll at least be on the map in 6th.
  2. Circuit City is looking into opening a store at either Northlake or Mooresville some time in the next two to three years. A few of their higher ups made a round through their Charlotte stores and made the trip up 77 to look at potential sites a few months ago. The unfortunate news to that is University residents may be seeing their location either relocating closer to downtown or closing all together within the next five years. The lease for that store ends in three and a half years.
  3. I snapped these in november before I moved back to the states. Sydney Harbour (yes with a 'u') Downtown Sydney New Zealand Because showing one just isn't enough
  4. What happens when it rains? Those animals have got to be growing all kinds of things inside of them.
  5. I know about Wikipedia's reputation and I did my research. I looked these numbers up on each independent school's websites (aside from the >5000 student schools) and they matched up pretty well so I decided to keep them as is. The numbers on the previous post was way off saying that some schools had thousands more students than before. I just figured I'd put a more accurate representation.
  6. I left out part of that table that may interest you in the selectiveness of admissions, graduation rate, and how many are highly qualified that enroll. Those figures say more about a school, I was just answering the debate over size that seems to be so important to other people. I agree with your point that education can be diminished by size.
  7. 8. Anybody think that IKEA might move to the area? They have been spotting Charlotte for awhile, and with the ammount of space there still is around CMills that by adding IKEA it will only add just one more of a million big boxes springing up around there?
