Not that I like smokers but isn't this a bit drastic? By the way all Eagle fans affected by this are welcome to Pittsburgh . . . anything to turn those population numbers around:D

PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE

PHILADELPHIA -- Mayor John F. Street said one of his first priorities for the new year will be getting a citywide ban on smoking in public places.

"The bill is pretty much a total ban," the mayor said, including prohibiting smoking in bars. Street does not smoke or drink.

Street would not discuss his strategy for getting a smoking-ban bill through the City Council, but he has been talking with Councilman Michael A. Nutter, one of the council's most fervent anti-smoking members."

When a smoking ban passed in Minneapolis, from my experience, it seems a similar thing happened with people hitting up the bars in nearby St. Paul. Now that St. Paul has a ban in place as well the die hards are heading to the suburbs. ;)
