Avatars not working or am I doing something wrong?

I've been trying to change my avatar to the attached image below, but each time I try to add it via my profile I receive the following error:

The total filespace required to upload all the attached files is greater than your per post or global limit. Please reduce the number of attachments or the size of the attachments.

I can't seem to upload a new avatar no matter how tiny I make it. Even a 2K JPEG doesn't work. I'm not sure if it matters, the the filesize limit on the form just says "k," not "8k" like one might expect.

I'm having the same problem. The avatar is 2.10kb but when I save it reverts back to my old one.

Can you please email the new avatar you're trying to use to neo[at]urbanplanet[dot]org?
