Check back in a few hours for the other half of the thread. UP tries to merge the next part of the series with the first, and gives back an error of too many images.

Yeah, 303 Broadway was the first major downtown development in nearly 20 years, and now we have Queen City Square that is under construction that will be the city's tallest. The Banks is progressing only one block away, and the new Central Riverfront Park will be underway later this year. It's gearing up to be a busy and active 2009 and 2010.

Surprisingly, we actually gained population over the past five years. Most of the growth comes in Over-the-Rhine, downtown, and in the east end by Mt. Adams -- dubbed the "Gold Coast." (Hint: Luxury condos and lofts.) There is still a population bleed in some neighborhoods, especially in the Prince Hill and Avondale neighborhoods, mainly because much of the displaced from Over-the-Rhine and the West End projects have migrated there.

IIRC, we should sue much like Toledo did. They sued, gained a LOT of population that pushed them over 300,000 -- which is a lot of federal funding that would have otherwise been lost. A lot of their gentrifying districts were simply not counted.
