Fair Park redevelopment

Recommended Posts

Birmingham will contribute more than $48 million to redevelop Fair Park and Five Points West with an indoor track, equestrian facilities and an Olympic-sized swimming stadium, as part of a $90 million plan to transform Fair Park into a sports-themed residential and athletics village. The plan will also include hotels, retailers and drug stores. Construction of the first phase could begin in late summer and be completed in two years.

Another major project from the Langford administration -- the ripple effects of this around the Five Points West area could be huge.
