Pittsburgh moves a step closer to consolidation

It sounds like a plan, at least. No one likes to hear higher taxes - especially if services are to be cut, but Pittsburgh has to get a hold of its finances and pay down debt.

In more recent news the Mayor and the state appointed council got into a spat, but things were ironed out before somebody took the case to State Supreme Court, lots of big egos getting bruised in this one. Stay tuned lol.

Act 47 was FINALLY approved by City Council and the Mayors office, although this doesn't mean Consolidation, it does start to clean up city finances and paves the way for a consolidation bid later this year!
