Northland YMCA condominiums

Does anyone know the status of this project? There are no Northland signs on the property and no indication anything is happening. It's a big eyesore overlooking Bushnell Park. Signs on the building saying "condos coming," would maybe inspire merchants and investors to open up something downtown. Also, with the shops at Hartford 21 completely empty, is there any talk of expanding the new YMCA? The big complaint is that the Y eliminated the pool and basketball courts when they moved. I always thought that was strange. Whoever heard of a Y without a pool?

This would serve two purposes: make the Y more of a full service health club, and fill up the empty space. Any thoughts or information?

Starting the condos or at least putting up a sign would help Hartford 21. It would send a signal to merchants that if they open a store they would have more customers. We need to ask ourselves why the H21 stores are all empty. Tenants are signing onto Blue Back and Evergreen Walk, but not H21. Maybe there aren't enough customers yet, but I think there could be if there were more condos to buy.
