Riverwalk Stadium

Southron

Recommended Posts

Riverwalk Stadium, home of the AA Montgomery Biscuits (2006 Southern League Champions), opened in 2004. It's located downtown in the riverfront warehouse district, across the railroad tracks from the Montgomery Riverwalk. Completion of the stadium was one of the first major components of the city's riverfront revitalization effort.

Freight trains roll by the park - sometimes 2 or 3 per game.

The ballpark is an adaptive reuse of an old train depot

and the site was once a rather unpleasant Confederate Military Prison.
