UT-Dallas and UT-Arlington ?

My brother has put in applications for engineering faculty positions at both schools (and about 2 dozen

other places around the Gulf South States), and I plan to move to whatever city he does.

I've been to Dallas-Ft. Worth once, but haven't seen either campus.

Any opinions of the areas around either or the universities themselves ?

I attended UT-Arlington for a while before transferring to Clemson.

Setting:

- Not suburban but not urban. Arlington is very diverse and has lots of culture. I found some good Cajun food there too.

School:

- Classes were good but the school doesn't get the respect it deserves from politicians and its own students. The school is overshadowed by the public flagships (UT Austin and Texas A&M) so it doesn
