The Biz Journal had this story today. This ties in to the thread we had going earlier about developing the shoreline, but this a a major step in that direction.

I can't read the whole article but this sounds like a huge step for the redevelopment of Lakeside.

From the article:

Johnson reportedly said plans for the undeveloped land would be "large-scale, mixed-use" that would be included in commercial and residential developments. Luxury homes with deep-water slips for large yachts are possible for the waterfront property.

Great news for the Lakeside District! I was reading that with the deep water barge use there previously, they should be able to get some pretty large boats in there.
