600 Jobs to Remington (Jasper County)

State officials announced today that Remington Indiana has been chosen by Advance Auto Parts for a distrubution facility. Once in operation the facility will employ 600. This a major economic development for Jasper County, esp. its southern section which as far as I know has not seen much growth recently. For the most part Rensselaer is the employment hub within the county (also the county seat), with the north end of the county seeing steady economic and population growth out of Lake County over the past decade or so. Good to see the south end of the county get some economic stimulus that might help spur that end of the county.
