You know what REALLY bugs me?

Do any of you know what really bugs me? No one cares what the troops think about President Bush or his administration. They have LARGELY been ignored. Why don't we focus on the troops for once and what they think? They are alot more important than politics and 911 hearings...

You don't know that do you? Also, we would hear more about that if it were true.

Bush may be the top dog of the military, but the troops are even more important than he is.

another thing that bugs me is that these days you have to have money to run for president...

One of our best presidents grew up "poor" or at least not rich... IE Abraham Lincoln.

And I doubt we will ever have another Teddy Roosevelt again.

Or anyone that has the guts Harry Truman had.

But he wasn't poor when he became President. And he doesn't nearly match up to Harry Truman, Teddy Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy or Abraham Lincoln.

I thought Roosevelt came from priviledge? Kennedy certianly did. He didn't have a poor bone in his body.

How about Carter?

I have an older cousin who is married to a National Guardsman who was called up to go to Iraq this June after a few weeks of combat training.

They are having a hard time dealing with it.

Another cousin of mine is in the Navy and I haven't heard from him in forever, but he signed up to go to college and get out of here. Not to be sent to Iraq on a questionable mission.

Teddy Roosevelt was an unabashed progressive politician who broke ranks and created his own Bull Moose Progressive ticket separate from the Republican party, might I add...

But he WAS one of the best presidents we have ever had, up there with Lincoln, and Kennedy.

Lincoln would be called a damn liberal if he were alive today... I admire the man.
