What part of the Memphis area are you from?

This is the new and improved poll in regards to where one is from in Memphis.

Bluff2085 and Rardy's threads got mangled up by the forum software when I tried to merge them, destroying the poll. So I had to start the whole process over. Sorry!!!!! However, it did allow me to add some options that were requested.

I voted and although I'm not from Memphis, many of my kinfolk reside there. Very few live in East Memphis, the vast majority live in N. & S. Memphis.

So...back to Oakland...I've heard that it's the fastest-growing town/municipality/city in the country...have any of you heard that? I just know that several professors at UT told my friend that.

Today's Daily News cites Oakland as the fastest growing municipality in the state. Could that be what you heard?

True, Whitehaven aka Blackhaven has some valuable areas but at the same time much of the area surrounding Graceland is ghetto. I'm quite familiar with the area even as I visit fam & friends there.
