Moving to Salt Lake

I will be moving to SLC in about a year. I am interested in renting a house downtown. I have been looking at the avenues and was wondering if anyone could recommend any other areas of town. I'll be attending U of U and would love to ditch my car if possible so anything with good access to TRAX would be ideal.

Youve about got it. The Avenues are right next to Downtown and Trax is nearby. I cant think of anything else...

Well, we have quite a few good places around the downtown area. check out the forums on www.skyscraperpage.com. We SLCers have a larger presence there. btw, are you 100% fixed on owning a home? or would you be willing to settle for a townhome, condo,etc?
