hahahaha, i saw this water tower in Millington it has listed on its site today. My friend actually though that it was a wal-mart , lol. He asks that everytime we go out to my grandmas house.

I've seen the Fruitport smiley face water tower many times. It is now illuminated at night.

M-119 is a really cool stretch of road that goes from Harbor Springs to Cross Village, that everyone in Michigan should experience once. It's phenomenal.

You can't go wrong with words like "Tunnel of Trees", "Devil's Elbow" and "Horseshoe Bend".

Then be sure to stop at Legs Inn in Cross Village:

We went there about 5 or 6 years ago with friends, and we thought it would be some kind of Northern Michigan hick bar. But it turned out that a blues band was playing, and the trumpet player was the guy who played at our wedding in Saginaw. We couldn't believe it. The place quickly got packed with college students, older people, a few bikers, just a great crowd.

WELL worth the drive. Harbor Springs is a sight to see too with its century old estates lining little Traverse Bay, and 100' long sailboats and yachts.

This web site inspired me and my husband to go for a road trip this weekend to find the Prehistoric Forest and the Mystery Hill to see if they're still there.

We were delighted to find that "Mystery Hill" was still open and had a few visitors in its parking lot.

We didn't stop; we're saving that to do with out of town family visiting this summer. We did sneak a peak into the Haunted Forest.

We ventured further along M-12 to find the Prehistoric Forest. Which we were delighted it was still standing but very saddened that it was closed and up for sale.

The gift shop was much larger than I remember...

I hope someone purchases it that appreciates its nostalgia and brings it back to life.

Overall, it was a beautiful day and a great drive. We took Michigan Ave (M-12) all the way to I-127 to I-94 back home.

On our quest to find Irish Hills (Onsted, MI) , we drove through some beautiful small towns with historical downtown main streets. A couple of our favorites were Saline and Clinton.

I think we'll be doing this again soon...

haha, that's a great movie.

My father and I go to Stagecoach Stop every summer and stay a few days, I remember seeing the Prehistoric Forest a lot.

I also remember passing through downtown Clinton on the way and it looked really nice.

lol, my grandma is kindof a hick. She grew up in Fairgrove(out in the thumb, lol). Last time i was there we walked around town, and yeah, there was a lot of hicks there.lol.
