Hello, here are some of the many Festivals/Cultural Events etc that are celebrated through out the city.

Scottish Festivals

Fillipino Fiesta

Something a spectator can enjoy at either the Kayamanan Ng Lahi, Filipino Fiesta, or Mabuhay Festival.

*Members of Kayamana Ng Lahi present a dance called "Dinuyya," from the people of Ifugao, the builders of the gigantic rice terraces of Banaue (considered the eighth wonder of the world). The dances imitate birds, which in the Philippines are a symbol of power, strength and authority.

*"Sagayan" is performed to welcome guests and ward off evil spirits. It originated with the Maguindanao tribe of South Mindanao, with costumes of Southeast Asian influence.

*Jota Cagayana" is a dance that originated in the Isabela province of the northern Philippines. The dance is Spanish in style, but the costumes are of American influence, reflecting styles of the early 20th century.

The Korean Festivals & Centennial celebration 1903-2003

One hundred years ago, the first wave of Korean immigrants arrived in Hawai'i, and another cultural thread wove itself into the American tapestry. Celebrations of those beginnings are being held across the nation this week, and yesterday afternoon the centennial was marked in Waikiki.

*Includes classical and folk dances, instrumental and vocal numbers, and a "qawwali," or singing duel between men and women from people representing India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Are these all year round or just seasonal?

They are all year 'round its like every week we have some kind of festival its kind of crazy. Sometimes there be a few going on at the same time. I think we just recently added a Indonesian Festival i know there was a Turkish one recently too which i think are a couple of the newer festivals celebrated in the city.
