Arts Unleashed event April 29th in Winston

Arts Unleashed, a celebration of animals, art and community to raise money for the Forsyth County Humane Society is having a parade in downtown Winston Salem on April 29th. The parade starts at Fourth and Spruce and ending up at Fifth St to be followed by a street celebration along Trade St with the usual kiosks for food, crafts and the like with musical artists in attendance. It will be a great showcase for the Arts District.

The key element of this event is the 46 sculptures of cats and dogs decorated by located artists. This art piece will be showcased in the parade then go to the various businesses in the downtown area where they will be "adopted" then at the end of summer, each of these pieces will be auctioned off to raise money for the Humane Society.
