Ohio Turnpike bucks EZPass lanes

This was from a week or two ago but I was interested in why Ohio wouldn't modernize their turnpike with EZPass or even SunPass or a like system (maybe they are holding out till they come up with their own to maximize profits). The EZPass works all up and down the NE coast and into Illinois, Indiana, Michigan etc. But not Ohio. It seems strange that the turnpike commission doesn't see the massive benefits to a system like this, they contend the turnpike is only for "pass through" non-commuter traffic but even if that was totally true (which it is not), the turnpike could maximize usage and fight off costly traffic jams and personal costs by instituting EZPass.

Interested on other views on this.

If enough people voice in on EZ-Pass, especially trucking companies that do business in Ohio, the state will sign onto EZ-Pass. If Illinois has EZ-Pass, it is inevitable Ohio will for seamless travel along I-80/90

not to nitpick, but Michigan does not have any toll roads (and we like it that way!)
