New site launched!

On August 6th, 2003, SkyScraperAmerica.com was born, bringing along with it's launch a few key people who decided to make a difference and help create an alternative to other discussion boards revolving around the institution of the skyscraper. On February 10, 2004, UrbanPlanet.org broadened the scope of the discussions and set forth an oath to create an adult oriented discussion board revolving around topics of urbanism and related fields such as architecture.

Such a decision has paid off as UrbanPlanet.org currently stands at around a quarter of a million posts and our membership count reaches into the thousands from members all over the world. This last year has brought this site so many new enhancements I'm not sure where to even begin, but I can promise that more time and effort than ever is being put into UrbanPlanet.org in making it a premium destination for urban enthusiasts. Over the coming months, and even years, you will witness unprecendented changes for this site. We are working to bring unique features found nowhere else. We think you'll like what we've done with the place and what future plans hold for our site for the benefit of our users!

I want to clarify that in no way will we be requiring paid membership for any part of this site. Since day one I have made the promise to keep UrbanPlanet.org free to the public and I will continue to honor my promise of freedom for our users.
