Seriously folks, I've never lived in any other burg where power outtages from a little thundernlightning caused such a panic in the power lines. This was just a teeny outtage (40 minutes) but still. It's so predictable, it's laughable. What is it about our electrical that's so retarded?

Consumers Energy is trash, I recently moved to Holt, which has Counsumers, from Lansing, which has BWL. I've already had 2 or 3 problems with power outages in less than 6 months and power blips all the time. When I had the BWL maybe once or twice a year, and it was usually taken care of in less than a half hour.

Precisely. I forgot that I left that hanging out there. My Dad used to do a lot of engineering consulting for Consumers, and that was one of the jokes.

We haven't either. I know people show up at work all the time mentioning power outages and we've never experienced it in over three years.
